Young Auditorium

Young Auditorium will host Urban Bush Women on February 20, 2018. A master class and workshop will take place.Jawole Zollar and Urban Bush Women devise Hair and other Stories, a multidisciplinary, evening-length work that addresses matters of race, gender identity, and economic inequality through the lens of hair, primarily that of African American women. Along with the performances, UBW will engage communities via “Hair Parties,” gatherings that facilitate dialogue around the complex and often difficult issues explored in the work.
