Camille A. Brown & Dancers will present (4) performances of "ink" in February 2018, following a developmental residency on site in June 2017. Featuring live music, "ink" is the final installment in Brown's trilogy of dance-theater works about culture, race, and identity. It reclaims African American narratives and examines elements of them that have been appropriated, rewritten, or silenced, drawing on African American social dance, African dance, tap, jazz, modern, and hip-hop. Brown and members of her company will participate in complimentary activities with the community and campus, surrounding the performances.
