University at Albany, PAC

Raphael Xavier and his dancers have been invited to perform at the UAlbany PAC as part of Dance in Albany, a joint series planned, promoted and packaged by the UAlbany PAC and The Egg. The company will perform in UAlbany’s In the Raw format. The setting is intimate and purposefully low tech to bring focus to the dance and choreography. Works are introduced by the company’s Artistic Director. Performances are followed by conversation during a reception in the lounge.

In addition to the performance, it is anticipated that Xavier will lecture on hip-hop culture and black identity in the media at Siena College, a neighboring educational institution, and host of an annual Hip Hop Week.
