Portland Ovations

In spring of 2018, Portland Ovations brings innovative composer and violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain for a community residency that will include participation as a guest clinician at the Maine Acoustic Music Festival; conducting a local youth orchestra in a performance on Ovations' School-Time Performance Series; and, in a grand culmination, the performance of his project "En Masse" during Portland's First Friday Art Walk. “En Masse” is a musical parade with several ensembles sprinkled along Portland's arts district with DBR serving as their “pied piper,” amassing each group as he makes his way up the street, culminating in a huge community jam.
