Sheldon Theatre of Performing Arts

“Point of Interest” is Raphael Xavier’s new piece that challenges the art form of Breaking and the viewer’s perspective of hip hop. At the Sheldon Theatre, in a small midwestern rural community 50 miles outsdie of Minneapolis/St Paul, our residents have limited exposure to this form. As part of our Enlighten Series (a 6 show series which builds on our mission to entertain, educate, and enlighten), this event will invite audiences to explore, discover, and wonder. The project will involve a 2 outreach activities - one with our high school and alternative high school students, and one for public at the YMCA - one public performance, and a post-show discussion.
