Scapegoat Garden

“liturgy | order | bridge” (working title) is an emerging choreographic project conceived and directed by Deborah Goffe. With equal parts contemplation and play, this work conjures (or remembers) a world where the performer functions in the role of clergy (ordained as a mediator between realms), fashion activates, and the body is invited to speak as a most exalted vehicle for understanding. At the center of this initial phase of what may emerge as a larger scale project, “liturgy | order | bridge” is imagined as the container for a parallel exploration of the viability of dance making within the confines and possibilities Scapegoat Garden’s important moment of logistical transition.
