Moving Stories

Moving Steps Foundation is a dance company comprised of previously incarcerated women, and women in recovery. Currently, Moving Steps is working in collaboration with Moving Stories (www.movingstoriesfoundation.com) in preparation for a December show at the Dance Complex. Moving Stories integrates live storytelling with original music and dance. Company members share stories from their lives; the content is woven together with music and dance, thereby enhancing the message. Moving Stories deals with the issues of incarceration, addiction, and recovery, through the lens of real-life experiences. These issues plague our community; we hope to create an open dialogue, while reducing stigma.
