Asian Arts Initiative is pleased to present “Shyamali: Sprouting Words,” a performance featuring Ananya Dance Theatre, as part of our 25th Anniversary Celebration during the weekend of May 3-6, 2018. The performance is an evening-length dance work inspired by the ways that women across the globe repeatedly talk back and embody dissent against injustices, despite the daunting consequences. “Shyamali” is planned for two evening performances at the Painted Bride Art Center on Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5.
