(Boston, MA) The New England Foundation for the Arts is pleased to release our 2018-2020 Strategic Plan.
One year ago, NEFA embarked on a strategic planning process in order to position our work within a rapidly changing political and social environment for arts and culture organizations. With new staff and board leadership in place, NEFA’s goal was to craft a three-year plan that is both comprehensive and adaptable to changing conditions. NEFA engaged AMS Planning & Research and artEquity to guide the planning process.
“We began with a vision that NEFA contributes to a nation where artists flourish and communities celebrate art as essential to a thriving, equitable society,” said Cathy Edwards, NEFA’s Executive Director. “We were guided by Board Chair Lawrence Simpson and planning task-force chair Amy Zell Ellsworth, and the wisdom and aspirations of the NEFA staff, and thoroughly informed by the needs and insights of both constituents and field leaders, gathered through surveys, focus groups, and interviews.”
