Following a 2017-18 Expeditions Tour Planning grant site-visit to The Yard, Amirah Sackett will return to Martha’s Vineyard for a two-week teaching and performance residency beginning on January 28, 2019. The residency will consist of a robust calendar of community education and engagement activities, culminating in a public performance at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center (MVPAC) on Saturday, February 9th. The residency will take place as a part of The Yard's island-wide and all-ages education initiative, MAKING IT, as well as the fourth annual WINTER YARD performance series.
