With the FY25 application being the last round of National Theater Project (NTP) Creation & Touring Grants in the current form (read a message from our executive director Harold Steward from September 2024), we want to pause to highlight our applicants at each step of the process. The National Theater Project team is pleased to celebrate our 60 preliminary application semifinalists, selected by Advisors after careful application review, numeric scoring, and written feedback.

We are very excited about this year’s robust roster, which includes a strong blend of previous NTP grantees, NEFA collaborators and friends, and new-to-NTP-and-NEFA projects!

These 60 projects move on to the second round of our process, a four-day virtual panel meeting where Advisors and staff gather to discuss each project, weigh them against NTP Creation + Touring Grant criteria, and vote to select our 24 finalists. NTP Creation + Touring finalists will be announced in the coming weeks; all 24 finalists are guaranteed funding in the form of either a $10,000 Artist Development grant or $110,000 Creation + Touring grant. We look forward to announcing finalists, and encourage folks  to check out our 60 fabulous semifinalists for a sampling of what the world of devised, ensemble theater is bringing into 2025!
