Power Goes is a dance-theater work about power: how it is expressed through the body, personality, and position. Drawing on the figure of Lyndon Baines Johnson as subject and metaphor, the work explores how power is acquired and yielded, how it can be deployed for progressive action, and conversely, how it can be used to keepthe status quo and block change. Choreographer Carrie Hanson collaborates with playwright Stuart Flack, sound designer Mikhail Fiksel, video artist Bob Faust, lighting designer Julie Ballard, and dramaturg Michael J. Kramer. Estimated artist fee: $15,000/performance, $25,000/week.
