Hyde Square Task Force

Hyde Square Task Force (HSTF) will use our NEFA Community Grant to support outreach efforts to connect residents of all ages to the NEFA-funded Latin Quarter Mosaic Project overseen by Lead Artist Richard Youngstrom and supporting artists Fiona O’Connor and Andrea Tamkin. Armstrong, O’Connor, and Tamkin will collaborate with HSTF staff and youth to facilitate workshops where participants will co-create community-inspired mosaic displays with Afro-Latin cultural influences. They will publically install these mosaics throughout the Blessed Sacrament Church Plaza in Jamaica Plain. HSTF’s Community Grant will support in-person flyering, social media, email, website, and other means of outreach.
